The prerequisites for applicants seeking admission to UNILAG through JAMB (UTME) are listed below:
a minimum of 5 Ordinary Level Credits in English Language, Mathematics, and three additional courses relevant to the course you want to take from the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) in no more than two sittings.

To be considered for admission to the University of Lagos UNILAG, applicants must have received a score of at least 180 on the recently completed Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) UTME exam.
You have to select UNILAG as your first or top preference.
To be eligible for admission for the year, you must take part in the UNILAG POST UTME/SCREENING.
Candidates must be at least 16 years old.
UNILAG’s Direct Entry (DE) requirements for 2023–2024
- The criteria for applicants seeking admission to the University of Lagos UNILAG through Direct Entry are listed below:
- a minimum of 5 Ordinary Level Credits in English Language, Mathematics, and three additional courses relevant to the course you want to take from the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) in no more than two sittings.
- Candidates must have two IJMB or A’level passes in subjects relevant to their field of study.
- Passes in Related Subjects at JUPEB/A’ Level.
- Degree in a related discipline for your chosen course of study (First Class/Second Class Upper).
- The UNILAG Direct entrance form must be purchased by direct entrance candidates from the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and UNILAG portal.
- a National Certificate of Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND), or any Advanced Level Certificate with a least Merit Pass.
