NYSC registration both Nigerians and foreign



Academic Qualification is a requirement for registration of Nigerian graduates who received their education abroad.
For registration and mobilization of graduates with foreign training into the National Youth Service Corps, the originals and photocopies of the following documents are needed (please note that downloaded Certificates/Transcripts, Statements of Results, and Attestation Letters are not acceptable); namely:
first college diploma or HND certificate
Completely authenticated transcription of the HND or First Degree course grade sheet (for Indian universities only)
O’level certificate, such as the WASC, GCE, SSCE, NECO, IGCE, GCSE, or high school diploma for students who attended school in the USA, etc.
Please take note that a printout of your online results cannot be used in place of the original certificate

Candidates need to receive credit in at least five topics (including English and math) over the course of at least two sessions.
Please be aware that those who completed a “Top up” program or course must upload their foundation certificate, such as those from APTECH, OND, NIIT, INFORMATICS, etc.
In addition, evidence of housemanship completion and a registration certificate with the appropriate medical and dental council of Nigeria or optometrists association of Nigeria are required of medical doctors and optometrists.
Additionally, pharmacists must show proof of internship completion and a registration certificate from the Nigerian Pharmacists Council.
Authentic licenses and registration certificates from the Nigerian Nursing/Midwifery Council must be presented by nurses.
Additionally, medical laboratory scientists must show their license and registration certificate from the Nigerian Medical Laboratory Scientists Council.

Date of initial departure from Nigeria
Return date to Nigeria following the study period

Graduates with dual nationalities must upload the data pages of both passports and produce the passports at the camp for verification (in cases where more than one passport was used during the study period, candidates must upload the data pages of the passports and residence permits) (for Graduates from Institutions located within West African Countries Only)
LOSS OF AN OVERSEAS PASSPORT
A potential Corps Member is required to acquire the following in the event of loss of an international passport:
news from the nation where the passport went missing on the police and immigration
Affidavit sworn in
A copy of the newly obtained international passport’s personal data page, along with proof of time spent in the place of study, must be uploaded.
LOSS OF EDUCATION REPUTATION: The following is necessary in the event that academic qualifications are lost:
Sworn Statement from the Police
confirmation of the outcome from the graduation institution or the examination organization (for lost O’level certificates) (for loss of degree, HND, certificates as the case may be)
Before presenting a certificate to the NYSC, a non-English certificate must be translated at the embassy of the country of study or a university in Nigeria where the language is taught.
Special Note: Holders of a Higher Certificate of Education and a Diploma of Higher Education are not eligible for mobilization. Therefore, they are not required to register. Please note that Statements of Results are not acceptable in place of a degree or HND certificate, and Attestation Letters, Letters of Course Completion, and Letters to Whom It May Concern are not acceptable either.
Please be aware that NYSC Management maintains the right to report any institution or document whose status is in doubt to the Federal Ministry of Education for verification.
If their marriage certificates, husband’s identification, such as a driver’s license, international passport, or national ID card, are uploaded or presented, married women will be transferred to the state where their husbands reside.
At the orientation camp, all credentials uploaded by international graduates will be physically verified.
After initially registering at the Camp, Foreign Trained Corps Members should wait to return their credentials home until they have been physically confirmed by the duly appointed officer(s) from National Youth Service Corps, National Directorate Headquarters Abuja. Until their credentials are verified, foreign-trained Corps members shall also stay in the camp.
Before registering in the state of relocation, any Foreign-trained Corps Member must provide proof of a physical verification of their credentials.
Correspondence courses, professional certificates, Oxford Brookes, and certificates earned through online courses are not recognized.
Credentials that have been scanned, printed online, or copied are not accepted.
Before receiving an exemption certificate, foreign graduates who have been exempted from service are required to present all of their academic credentials and an international passport for physical verification at the Evaluation Division, Corps Mobilization Department, National Youth Service Corps, National Directorate Headquarters, Abuja.
Before an exclusion letter is printed online, foreign graduates who have been excluded from service are required to physically verify all academic credentials and an international passport at the Evaluation Division, Corps Mobilization Department, National Youth Service Corps, National Directorate Headquarters, Abuja.
