Post-UTME Requirements/Documents 2023

This post will highlight and clarify the crucial documents and other prerequisites you will need for your school’s (university, polytechnic, or college of education) post-UTME/DE entrance screening process.
As you may be aware, the post-UTME admission screening process entails the verification of candidates’ UTME/O’level results as well as other necessary documents.
You should have most of these documents/requirements ready before the post-UTME DE admission screening of your preferred institution begins.
As a result, candidates must ensure that they have all of the relevant documents on hand in order to avoid problems or unnecessary delays in receiving them later.
Obtain your O’level results (WAEC, NECO, and NABTEB). Ready: You may be needed to produce copies of your O’level Statement of Result or O’level Original Certificate, depending on the nature of the screening. The results must be acquired in a maximum of two sittings.
If you took the O’level exams more than four years ago, you must produce the original certificate of your result rather than a statement of result. However, if you took the O’level examination within the last four years, you can present your O’level result statement. It will be approved.
The reason for this is that Original Certificates of O’level Results are only made available after 4 years. As a result, your Original Certificate should be ready in four years. If your O’level result is more than four years old, you should go collect the original certificate.
JUPEB, ND, NCE, IJMB, and other certificates: This is only for direct entry candidates. You will be required to produce original copies of any certificates that qualified you for Direct Entry admission.
JAMB Direct Entry Registration Slip: This is only for candidates applying for direct entry.
UTME Result Slip: This is your official JAMB Result Slip. The one with your passport photo on it. When it becomes available, you must print this document from the JAMB website.
JAMB Data: JAMB data contains information such as your JAMB, registration number, JAMB score, UTME Subject combination, and so on. You will be needed to give this information if you apply for online screening.
Birth Certificate/Age Declaration: You are already familiar with what a birth certificate is. In the event that your birth certificate is missing or unavailable, you can go to any court and obtain an affidavit of age declaration.
Local Government Area Certificate of Origin: This is an official document that shows your Local Government Area (LGA) and state.
Passport Photograph: Schools have their own requirements for passport photographs. Some may have a red background, while others will necessitate a white background. UNIBEN typically requires a recent red background passport. When your school announces the screening form, they will indicate which one is required. So make sure you follow the directions. The passport must also be current. It was taken during the last two months.
. Printout of online admission screening registration: This is the document you print after registering for your school’s post-UTME/DE entrance screening. If your school requires a physical screening, an aptitude test, or an oral interview, the document is usually required.
Not all schools require a guarantor or referee letter. If this is required, your school will notify you. It is simply a letter from your parents or sponsor saying that you are of good behavior and that they will be able to cover the financial implications if you continue to attend school.
