How Can You Change Things?
• UNICEF assists the government and its partners in acquiring and delivering nutrition supplies to the last mile in order to enhance systems, particularly the health, food, and social protection systems that provide high-quality services.
The commodities’ supply chain is exposed to risks at various points, including, but not limited to, poor planning, development, and forecasting, procurement delays brought on by internal and external factors, losses in warehouses, and losses during in-country distribution of the commodities.
The consultant will perform the following tasks directly under the direction of the Chief of Supply and Logistics Section: • Assess the risk profile of the UNICEF nutrition supply chain over the previous five years. The consultant should profile the pattern of occurrences and pay attention to external elements such as seasonal variations, hazards linked with man-made or natural disasters, etc. Additionally to internal oversights, such as supply arrival dates and grant expiration dates. moreover, insurance restrictions/risks.
• Outline explicit timetables, internal and external roles, and responsibilities for risk mitigation strategies. with a workflow method and a risk register matrix.
• Offer crucial guidelines for the suggested course of action.
Requirements
To be able to support each child you will have:
A Master’s degree or higher in finance (audit) management or supply chain management from an advanced university.
a minimum of six years of relevant experience working in the UN, the private sector, the nutrition industry, or global health.
knowledge of inventory management, distribution management, or logistics operations.
knowledge of internal controls or risk identification and management.
working knowledge of the Nigerian health supply chain.
Others include: Proven Excel proficiency; aptitude for developing computations, look-up tables, and pivot tables.
The capacity to manage and arrange information.
The capacity to function in a multicultural setting.
Proficient spoken and written English.
Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel proficiency.

How Can You Change Things?
The health manager (MNCAH and HIV) is in charge of supporting and directing the management, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of the maternal newborn child adolescent health and HIV (MNCAH/HIV) programme within the country program, generally acting under the general direction and supervision of the Chief of Health and HIV.
Throughout the programming process, s/he offers technical direction and operational support in accordance with plans, allocation, results-based management approaches and methodologies (RBM), organizational Strategic Plans and goals, standards of performance, and the accountability framework in order to facilitate the achievement of tangible and sustainable results.
The chosen applicant will serve as the team leader in Abuja and will give technical direction to State-level MNCAH specialists.
The portfolio includes supporting the government’s efforts to increase access to PHC (Primary Health Care) services for pregnant women, particularly those who are most vulnerable, by rolling out and expanding the community health workforce, including the community health information system, in key States.
